COURTNEY COATES is an Oklahoma native, born and raised in Altus. Her career in broadcasting started when she was just 9 years old. Courtney was a regular anchor on a "Kids’ Brief" segment on KSWO in Lawton for four years. That taste of broadcast news sparked her interest in journalism as a career.

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, she went back to KSWO - this time as an Anchor/producer/reporter. She joined the Fox 25 team as a producer/reporter in August 2006.

When she's not in the newsroom, Courtney loves hanging out with her Delta Gamma sorority sisters and her sister, Chelsea. She also likes spending time with her own "Furry Friend", Dolce, a spoiled Bichon Frise.
